Join me in supporting the Student Conservation Association!
There's a lot to love about SCA, which is why I've chosen to raise money in support of their work. SCA supports a wide range of young individuals - from high schoolers and recent grads to inner-city youth. They strive to connect the younger generation with public lands, and teach leadership and strong environmental ethics along the way. They’re an all-around great nonprofit.
SCA trains and places interns in parks, rural and urban areas across all 50 states. Interns take on many roles - from pulling evasive plants from our parks and waterways, saving turtles, clearing hiking trails, tracking endangered species, helping to warn tourists about bears in national parks, watching for forest fires, studying bats, taking care of animals, and other similar jobs. The opportunity to work with the National Park Service, US Forest Service and other conservation organizations is both impressive and valuable. The hands-on work experience these students get through involvement with SCA not only fosters leadership skills, but it inspires a lifelong stewardship of the environment.
I’d like to see this organizaiton get more recognition and continue to be able to provide life-changing opportunities to young people. I hope you’ll join me.
Please donate today to help SCA build the next generation of conservation leaders who will protect our parks and public lands now and into the future.
Thank you for helping me spread the word and further the mission.
