What makes my contribution on SCA Giving Day special?
On SCA Giving Day, the entire SCA community comes together with one purpose-to ensure we are able to provide leadership opportunities for students and young adults to serve and protect our national parks and public lands. For our alumni, it is a day when they can extend their legacy and pay it forward so that others can have similar opportunities to what they enjoyed in their SCA service. Donors have the opportunity to support SCA in what is sure to be become one of our most important fundraising events of the year.
What are the goals for SCA Giving Day?
300 unique donors to the SCA unlocks an additional $30,000 gift.
Is there a minimum donation amount to participate in SCA Giving Day?
No! Every gift, regardless of amount, will help make SCA Giving Day a success.
How do I make a gift?
SCA Giving Day officially begins at 12:01 a.m. ET on September 19, at which point you'll be able to make your gift via the Giving Day website. You can also choose to get your gift in early by donating here today.
How does my gift make a difference?
Gifts of any size make a difference by providing funds that can be spent right away on the most pressing needs like important and timely field research or assistance during disaster recovery. In recent years, as government funding for conservation has decreased, SCA has been forced to adjust programming levels accordingly. Your tax-deductible gift is more important than ever as we seek to expand our aid to public lands, provide more young people with life changing experiences and extend your SCA legacy through philanthropic support.
Where do the additional challenge gifts come from?
Generous alumni and other donors have made gifts to support the SCA Giving Day challenges.
